Manhasset & Roslyn portraits

A portrait with presence. Simple, expressive photographs that feel like you, with a touch of the unexpected.

More than a photograph for a profile.

A personal portrait can mark a change, celebrate a milestone or give shape to a creative idea. TMZ Photography welcomes portrait inquiries from Manhasset and Roslyn with an approach that combines minimalism and vintage aesthetics. Tatiana guides the session around expression, movement and a considered setting, whether the result is understated, editorial or a little more playful.

01

Begin with how you want to feel

You do not need to arrive with a complete concept. A few words about the mood, a favorite outfit or the reason for the session can be enough to start. For creatives and personal brands, explain where the portraits will appear. A website introduction needs different breathing room from a close profile image, so the intended use can guide composition and framing.

02

A North Shore setting with intention

For Manhasset and Roslyn clients, discuss whether you prefer an outdoor location or a studio-style setting. Garden textures can complement a romantic portrait; a simple backdrop can give an outfit or expression more presence. Historic estates and museum grounds have their own photography policies. A suggested setting is a starting point for planning, not a promise of access or a claim of venue affiliation.

03

Wardrobe, details and movement

Choose pieces you genuinely like wearing. Bring up a meaningful accessory, fabric with movement or a second look when you inquire, and keep the number of changes manageable. Tatiana's portraits can include both close, expressive frames and wider compositions. The portfolio below shows examples of her portrait approach, not a claim that the images were photographed in Manhasset or Roslyn.

A little preparation goes a long way.

  • Portrait sessions are approximately 1-2 hours with 30+ edited images. Confirm the session details directly with Tatiana.
  • Tell Tatiana whether you need vertical images, landscape website photographs, a graduation portrait or a cohesive personal-brand collection.
  • Discuss location permission and any studio arrangements before setting the date. Your private gallery holds the finished, edited collection.

Considering the Nassau County Museum of Art grounds near Roslyn? The museum publishes specific professional photography requirements. Check those with the venue before making plans; a regular visit does not establish permission for a portrait session.

Before your session

A few things to know.

Do I need experience posing?

No. Tatiana provides direction during the session. Share anything you feel unsure about in advance so the approach can be comfortable and personal.

Can this be a graduation or milestone session?

Yes. Tell Tatiana the milestone, preferred date, and any clothing or meaningful items you hope to include. Graduation portraits are part of the public portfolio.

Is there a studio in Manhasset or Roslyn?

These are service areas, not separate TMZ studio addresses. Outdoor or studio arrangements are discussed individually before booking.

Should I book portraits or headshots?

Choose portraits for a broader personal or creative story. If your main goal is a close professional image for LinkedIn, a press kit or a staff profile, explore the headshot session.
