A portrait that feels like you. A considered setting, expressive details, and room for a little personality.
Your story, in a portrait.
TMZ Photography creates personal portraits for Nassau County clients who want more than a quick profile picture. Tatiana Merced-Zarou brings modern simplicity and a vintage sensibility to individual sessions, creative portraits and graduation photographs. A session can start with a milestone, an outfit you love, or simply the wish to be photographed as you are now. The direction and setting grow from that starting point.

01
Choose what the portraits are for
An artist's website, a graduation announcement and a personal portrait collection need different kinds of photographs. Tell Tatiana where you will use the images before choosing a location. A creative session may benefit from full-length photographs and movement; a personal-brand collection may need a mix of close portraits and wider images with space for website copy. If you only need a professional profile image, the headshot session may be the better starting point.
02
Build a look around one idea
The portfolio includes a flowing skirt in motion, a floral portrait and graduation photographs. These are examples of how a meaningful detail can shape a collection. You do not need elaborate props or prior posing experience. Start with clothing you feel comfortable wearing, then discuss a second look, a personal object or a particular mood. Keeping the idea focused leaves time for expression instead of constant changes.
03
Plan a Nassau County setting
Tatiana welcomes inquiries from Garden City, Manhasset, Roslyn, Great Neck and nearby Nassau communities. Choose between an outdoor location and a studio-style arrangement based on the photographs you want, the available light and the practical requirements. A nearby town is a service area, not a separate studio address. For private grounds, gardens or other managed locations, access must be agreed before the session is booked.
Bring an idea. We'll shape the details.
Share the reason for the session, your preferred dates and how the photographs will be used. Mention any graduation deadlines or website launch dates.
Portrait sessions are approximately 1-2 hours with 30+ edited images; confirm the final scope and location with Tatiana before booking.
The finished collection is delivered through a private client gallery. Tell Tatiana about any specific framing or print needs while planning, rather than after the photographs are made.
Photographs on this page are selections from Tatiana's portrait portfolio, not claims that each was taken in Nassau County. Location arrangements and availability are confirmed individually.
Before your session
A few things to know.
What is the difference between portraits and headshots?
A portrait session can tell a wider personal or creative story with full-length photographs, movement and different compositions. A headshot session centers on professional images for profiles, websites, casting or press use.
Can I book graduation portraits in Nassau County?
Yes. Include your graduation date, preferred location and any cap, gown or outfit plans in your inquiry. Discuss access and the delivery deadline before confirming the session.
Will Tatiana help with posing?
Yes, the session includes direction. Share your preferences and anything you feel unsure about so the approach can feel natural rather than overly formal.
How do I inquire about a portrait session?
Call, text or use the inquiry form and select Portraits or Graduation. Include your preferred dates, town and what you would like the photographs to capture. An inquiry does not reserve a date.
